Tara Kinney, CRNA, APRN
Tara Kinney, CRNA, APRN, takes a holistic, integrative approach to patient care at Quad Cities Ketamine Clinic. At the Ketamine infusion clinic in Davenport, Iowa, she can help patients manage and treat their anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and more.
Ms. Kinney’s clinical expertise involves mood disorders, chronic pain, and anesthesia services. She earned her RN from the University of Phoenix in 2005, and then completed her Master’s and residency in Nurse Anesthesia at the Mayo Clinic in 2010.
As a lifelong learner with over 10 years of experience working in the operating room, Ms. Kinney began to develop an appreciation for the many uses of ketamine and its applications in therapy. As an independent practitioner and owner-operator of Advantage Anesthesia, Ms. Kinney oversaw the care of countless surgical patients and developed a love for the state of Iowa and surrounding counties. It was while working and living in Bettendorf, Iowa that Ms. Kinney saw the need of the community for more holistic and comprehensive care of chronic pain and mood disorders. Ms. Kinney then attended the Ketamine Academy and joined the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners before opening Quad Cities Ketamine Clinic in February of 2020.
In her free time, she is an avid volleyball player and state record skydiver. She has two children, loves to scuba dive and golf in tropical locations, and cares for numerous small animals rescued from the humane society.
Nicole Matthys, DNP, FNP
Nicole Matthys DNP FNP is a doctorate prepared nurse practitioner who is board certified by American Nursing Credentialing Center. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa and doctorate of nursing practice with specialty of family nurse practitioner at the University of Iowa College of Nursing in Iowa City, Iowa. Her past clinical experiences are family medicine, neurology, gastroenterology, women’s health, community health, correctional medicine, inpatient internal medicine/Hospitalist, critical care, home health assessments and COVID infection population (swabbing, vaccine and research sites).
Nicole is an active member of several professional organizations including Quad Cities Area Advanced Practice/Physician Assistant Alliance Group, Iowa Association of Nurse Practitioners Society and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
She is from Davenport, Iowa and a mother of two daughters. She enjoys traveling, biking, hiking, kayaking, concerts and festivals. Functional medicine has always been a passion of hers and her role at QC Ketamine Clinic will allow her to explore alternative therapies to health prevention, promotion and overall wellness.
